Teardrop disc cutter features 4 hardened steel punches in teardrop shapes. Easily cuts soft non-ferrous metals such as gold, silver, copper, brass, aluminum, and nickel silver up to 20 gauge thick. Cuts fine clean shapes in sizes (mm): 18 x 13, 21 x 15, 25 x 18, 30 x 22. Made using hardened tool steel with sharp edges. Base measures 3" x 3" x 1.2"
Recommended use with a 1 lb or 2 lb brass hammer or in a hydraulic press.
Best Practice: Use a rubber pad underneath for support. Do not exceed maximum thickness keeping in mind to use only soft non-ferrous metals. Use the appropriate hammer. Keep cutting edges down, well lubricated (using bur lube or bees wax) and store in a dry location.
